Only 53 Russian firms allowed to hire Turks after January 1
MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- Only 53 Russian companies will have the right to hire Turks after January 1, 2016, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets told reporters on Friday.
“Fifty three companies… primarily in construction. Construction, current contracts are in focus,” she said.
The Russian–Turkish relations deteriorated after Turkey downed Russia’s Su-24 bomber in November.
After that, Russia imposed a range of economic sanctions against the country, which not only touch employment, but also foresee suspension of a visa-free regime, ban charter flights between Russia and Turkey, imports of fruits, vegetables and other food and some other measures.
